High security courtroom Stadelheim
At the Stadelheim correctional facility in Munich a courtroom of the highest security level was created. The prisoners are led directly into the courtroom, which is located within the prison walls, via an underground corridor.
In September 2016, the new high-security courtroom was inaugurated on the grounds of the Stadelheim correctional facility. The new courtroom is one of the largest in Germany. It can hold up to 250 people and can be divided into two smaller halls if necessary. A particular advantage is that the accused no longer have to be transported from their cell to the justice center by prisoner transport across Munich. Instead they can walk through a security gate and an underground passage.
The high court room is only one of two in Germany. Because here occur large trials, like criminal proceedings of international terrorists, members of organized crime or state security proceedings, where there is also a personal media interest, are maintained a high conditions of the speech intelligibility.
MEDIA-tek GmbH, based in Bodenkirchen, was responsible for installing the media technology. MEDIA-tek managing director Thomas Klug is working with various manufacturers to develop a modern sound concept that should ensure the best possible speech intelligibility.
The NOVIS FLO EVO complements this concept with the visual factor. At the judges' tables, he ensures that the judges can view evidence at any time or work on their personal workstation PC.
